About Us
Ziker Cleaners was founded in 1917 in South Bend and has proudly served the Michiana community for more than a century. What began as a small tailoring operation has grown into a trusted leader in dry cleaning, laundry, and garment care by continually evolving with customer needs. Through generations of service, we have remained committed to quality workmanship, modern convenience, and exceptional customer care.
Growing Through Vision and Innovation
In 1978, Mort’s son David joined the company after graduating from college. David’s vision and emphasis on technology helped establish Ziker Cleaners as a leader in the Michiana area through environmentally friendly practices and modern equipment. In 1984, Dave Fischgrund, married to Lynne Ziker Fischgrund, joined the company, bringing many years of retail management experience. Over the next three decades, David and Dave worked collaboratively to enhance the company’s offerings and operations.
Continuing a Tradition of Excellence
In 2014, the uniform rental division was sold, marking a significant transition for Ziker Cleaners. The company relocated its office, distribution, and production facilities to a more efficient, technology-driven building in Mishawaka in 2016.
In June 2024, Ziker Cleaners transitioned ownership with the retirement of David Ziker. The current owners, Tim Stolt and Tim Travis, are committed to continuing the legacy of exceptional service and innovation in garment care, ensuring that Ziker Cleaners remains a trusted name in the Michiana community.

John Mertes
John joined Ziker Cleaners in 1988 following a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force. Over the years, he has served in multiple leadership roles and became General Manager in 2013. John oversees company operations, strategic direction, and leadership development while guiding the continued growth of the business and upholding Ziker’s long-standing reputation for quality, service, and community commitment.
Jami Olesen
Jami joined Ziker Cleaners in 2004 and has built extensive experience across many areas of the business. She leads finance, human resources, banking, vendor partnerships, marketing, and community outreach while also supporting strategic planning and company growth. Her broad leadership experience and deep knowledge of the organization make her an integral part of Ziker’s continued success.
Jennifer Probst
Jennifer joined Ziker Cleaners in 2007 with a strong background in retail leadership. She oversees store operations, team development, and customer experience across all locations, helping ensure every customer receives friendly, professional, and dependable service. Her leadership plays an important role in maintaining service standards and driving day-to-day success throughout the company.
Shayne Golden
Shayne joined Ziker Cleaners in 2000 and has held a wide range of roles throughout his career. With experience spanning production, maintenance, logistics, and technology, he now oversees pickup and delivery operations while leading business development initiatives and route growth. Shayne plays a key role in expanding services and providing convenient, dependable customer care throughout the region.
Maria Manriquez
Maria joined Ziker Cleaners in 1995 and brings decades of hands-on expertise in garment care and production operations. She leads training, workflow efficiency, quality control, and daily production standards while overseeing key equipment and processing systems. Maria’s experience and leadership are essential to maintaining the consistency, quality, and reliability customers expect from Ziker.
Liz Telfer
Liz joined Ziker Cleaners in 2023 with more than 20 years of experience in alterations, management, and customer service. She oversees tailoring operations, training, and quality standards while helping customers achieve the perfect fit with expert craftsmanship and personal attention. Liz also brings extensive bridal alterations expertise, helping make life’s most important occasions look and feel exceptional.
